Terms of service

Terms of service

These terms apply to the use of the Pigeon Loft Gallery website and purchases made through its online shop. Pigeon Loft Gallery operates as a sole-trader business at South Bank, Hebden Bridge, HX7 6LU, United Kingdom. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Pigeon Loft Gallery.

These terms should be read together with our shipping, return and refund, and privacy policies. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Products and descriptions

Pigeon Loft Gallery offers original artwork, prints, ceramics, sculpture and gifts. Product listings describe the relevant materials, dimensions and characteristics, including whether an item is an original artwork, print or handmade piece.

We take  care to represent products accurately. Colours may differ between screens. Handmade items may have individual variations in glaze, texture, colour and finish. Such variations do not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described. Requests for additional product information should be made before ordering.

Orders and availability

Customers are responsible for checking their selected items, delivery address and contact details before submitting an order. Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. An order is accepted when we confirm acceptance. Payment must be received before dispatch.

Original artwork and other individual pieces may have limited availability. If an item is unavailable or an order cannot be fulfilled, we will notify you and refund payment for the items we cannot supply.

If a material error in a product description or price is identified, we will contact you before proceeding. You may choose to continue on the corrected basis or cancel the affected purchase for a refund.

Prices and payment

The product price, currency and available delivery charges are displayed at checkout. International orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties or carrier charges. Further information is provided in our shipping policy.

Shipping and delivery

Orders are packed by hand at the gallery, with particular care given to ceramics, sculpture and fragile artwork. Delivery options and charges are displayed at checkout. UK and international delivery information is provided in our shipping policy.

Customers requiring delivery by a particular date should contact us before ordering. Delivery times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. Please contact us if an order is delayed, missing or arrives damaged. For deliveries arranged by us, responsibility for the goods remains with us until they are received by you or a person nominated by you.

Cancellations and returns

Our return and refund policy sets out cancellation rights, return procedures and responsibility for return postage. Requests to cancel before dispatch should be made as soon as possible.

For standard online purchases, you may notify us of cancellation within 14 days of receiving the goods and must return them within 14 days of that notification. Commissioned or personalised pieces made specifically for you are excluded from change-of-mind returns. This exclusion does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

For damaged or incorrect goods, please contact us promptly and, where possible, provide photographs of the item and packaging to assist with resolving the matter. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Artwork and intellectual property

The purchase of artwork or a print transfers ownership of the physical item, not copyright. Copyright remains with the artist or other rights holder unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Artwork, photographs and text displayed on this website must not be reproduced or used commercially without permission from the relevant rights holder, except where permitted by law.

Personal information and website use

Our privacy policy explains how personal information is collected and used. Customers must provide accurate order details and keep any account credentials secure. The website must not be used for unlawful purposes or in a manner that interferes with its security .

Application and changes to these terms

The terms in force at the time of an order apply to that purchase, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you. Updated terms may be published on this website for future purchases.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
